Dr. Branimir Gjetvaj2023-03-07
On this Members' Call from March 7th, 2023, Dr. Branimir Gjetvaj argued for the need to consider designing agricultural landscapes as a mosaic of diverse land uses, comprising farmland managed with agro-ecological and regenerative practices, nature-friendly working lands and protected area networks that support rich biodiversity.
Branimir is a Saskatoon-based biologist, conservationist and environmental photographer. He holds a Ph.D. in genetics from Queen’s University, a Master’s degree in genetics from Dalhousie University, and a Master of Sustainable Environmental Management degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Branimir has over 25 years of experience working in a research environment; he is currently exploring agricultural sustainability indicators in agro-ecosystems. Influenced by his environmental and agroecology training, Branimir is passionate about supporting biodiversity through wider adoption of nature-based climate solutions in agriculture.
