Between September 22 and November 3, 2022, the Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry invited experts to speak for a study entitled “Examine and report on the status of soil health in Canada”. On October 27, our Executive Director Antonious Petro was invited to represent Regeneration Canada as a witness for this study.

Antonious recommended to instate a multi-stakeholder approach around our pioneer farmers that involves indigenous communities, scientists, consumers, businesses, and above all the government’s support, to define where we are at, where we’re headed, and what the barriers are, taking into consideration how they are culturally and socio-economically specific.
