Integrating bison at Borderland Agriculture

Brooks White | Amber McNish2024-01-23

Discover Borderland Agriculture in Pierson, Manitoba, where the main focus is integrating bison production into a diverse poly-culture! 90% of annual production integrates intercrops, companion crops and cover crops, while 600 bison help to build healthy soils, spending their life grazing all year round as nature intended.

Brooks and Jen White recognized that, in their system, they were becoming less and less profitable with conventional agriculture. They chose to move to regenerative agriculture to build soil organic matter, and are now feeling a lot more confident about the future of the farm.
